The Babe Ruth division is for players between the ages of 13 and 15 years old. All players enrolled in the program are drafted on to a team for that particular season. All teams are re-drafted each season. The games are played on Bacon Field at the Municipal Athletic Complex on Scotch Road. Bacon Field is a regulation Major League field that has 90-foot base paths and a pitching mound that is 60 feet 6 inches from home plate. The play approximates Major League Baseball, with a few exceptions in the rules to maximize participation. The play is the most competitive that we support as a league, however, skill training is stressed and taught during pre-season practices and particularly for those 13 year olds and others that have not yet played on a 90 foot field.
The first week of games are typically considered scrimmages, with a schedule of two games per week till the end of the season. All teams participate in a double elimination playoff at the end of the regular season. The seedings of the teams are based on regular season standings
